Welcome to Friends of Wildcat Cross Country. 2008 was another successful year for WG XC and Friends of WG XC. With the participation of almost every parent we were again able to provide refreshments and drinks for the runners at all Varsity meets and invitationals in 2008.

For those who are new to our site, since 2005 it has been our goal is to help support the West Genesee Varsity XC Runners by providing refreshments at as many meets as possible. By pooling our money, efforts and baking talents the runners and XC parents enjoy a relaxing and team rewarding time after meets at home and on the road.

We ask for a small one time donation from parents for each Varsity runner to enable us to provide this support to our XC runners. This effort is purely voluntary and is not promoted (although enjoyed) or organized by the WG XC coaching staff. All runners benefit from our efforts regardless of donations. Any proceeds remaining at the season end are used for expenses of the XC year end dinner.

We had great success in 2005, 2006, 2007and 2008 and with the help and support of the parents of the athletes, we hope to continue in 2009. Feel free to email if you have any questions or suggestions to make 'Friends' even better. FriendsofWGXC@twcny.rr.com
